Confessions of a Bookaholic

I've been MIA lately because I completely rediscovered my love of reading for fun! Especially from one of my favorite chick lit authors,  Sophie Kinsella. She rose to fame with her Shopaholicseries featuring the lovable, but financially challenged Becky Bloomwood, who has a weakness for all things fashionable.

My favorite book is actually one of Kinsella's stand alone novels, Can You Keep a Secret? where Emma Corrigan accidentally reveals all her secrets to a someone who was supposed to be a stranger on a turbulent flight. However, she gets the shock of her life back at the office when she finds out the stranger on the plane is actually Jack Harper, one of the co-founders of her company. I love this book because I can totally relate to Emma and the fact that she keeps so many secrets to herself. Personally, I would be just as mortified if that were me because I could never imagine someone knowing every single detail about me and having to face him or her everyday, but of course it ends happily.

In addition, I also reread Remember Me? and just finished Kinsella's most recent novel, I've Got Your Number. Both books are written in Kinsella's familiar style, which often reminds me of chick flicks or romantic comedies. Her novels are always a fun, quick read and perfect for those lazy summer days while lounging next to the pool or on the beach. If you've never read her books before, I would recommend starting with Confessions of a Shopaholic first and work your way through the series. I can't wait to see what she has coming out in the future!

All of Sophie Kinsella's books can be found online at Amazon and in bookstores.
