October Favorites

I've actually been watching a lot of beauty videos on YouTube lately and noticed that many of the 'beauty gurus' have been doing their "October Favorites" and thought I'd give it a shot myself. So I've decided to introduce a new addition to my blog, monthly favorites!

  1. Hanes Crewneck Sweatshirt - A longtime favorite and they just happened to be on sale at Target this month. I love these because they're so versatile. I wear them to bed during cold winter nights or wear them out by layering them with t-shirts and blouses. For less than $10, you really can't beat these super soft and comfy basics for fall and winter.

  2. Lush Veganese - I actually went into Lush to purchase one of their solid shampoos and was introduced to this by a sales associate and it has changed my life. This conditioner is made for fine hair folks, like myself, and helps create volume without weighing it down. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it did not disappoint. Not only did I have volume, but it also made my hair SUPER soft. It's a bit on the pricier side, but you can't argue with the results.

  3. Olivia Garden Brush Cleaner - I love using my boar's hair brush, but hate cleaning it. I always found it frustrating that dust would get stuck in the bristles and I would have to individually pluck them out with tweezers. Not anymore, this brush cleaner has been a huge lifesaver and now I actually look forward to cleaning my brush.

  4. Wear Panda Monroe Sunglasses - I remember first hearing about Wear Panda on Refinery29. Not only do they support a great cause, but they were also made of eco-friendly bamboo, polarized, and they could float - all for under $150! They have partnered with TOMA (Tribal Outreach Medical Assistance) so every pair you buy goes to provide an eye or medical examination to some one in need.

  5. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie - I saw Julia of Gal Meets Glam wearing this in one of her blogs posts a couple weeks ago and I knew - I had to have it. It's a gorgeous raspberry color and perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.

  6. Nashville - Like I mentioned in last week's "Weekly Lookbook," I've taken my love for country to a whole 'nother level because I am obsessed with this show and music. I'm in love with Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio's duets and can't stop listening to them. I suggest starting out with the first song they performed together, "If I Didn't Know Better," and you'll understand why Watty White offers to produce their demo.
