Box o' Gold
Although I hate to admit it; I can sometimes be a hoarder. As an advocate of always trying to reuse and recycle things it's always, "Oh! I could use this for..." "What if I want to make..." "This would be perfect for..." Needless to say, I eventually end up with a bunch of random items scattered around my room.
In an attempt to minimize the clutter, I spray painted some of my favorite mint cases (Myntz's Vanillamynt Blast from Trader Joe's) to create mini storage boxes for my crafting supplies. All you need is some spray paint of your color, I chose a metallic gold, and some newspaper to cover the ground.
Mini Gold Tin
Supplies:
Spray paint
Metal tins
Newspaper
Directions:
Clean the tin by washing it with soap and water and dry off with a paper towel. ***When working with spray paint make sure you are outdoors or working in a well ventilated area.***
Cover your entire working area with newspaper.
Spray one to two coats on the first side and allow it to dry for 30 minutes.
Flip it over and spray the other side with one to two coats and allow the entire tin to dry overnight.
Now you have a chic metal tin case to use as storage for small items. Enjoy!
