Banana Rama

It may seem weird, but peanut butter banana sandwiches remind me of high school. I remember one day when K briefly mentioned that she's never had a peanut butter and banana sandwich before; I was in shock. This was coming from a person who ate bananas on a daily basis and loved all things peanut butter. How was it that she's never tasted their delicious marriage? Determined to remedy this, I went home and made her a peanut butter banana sandwich the next day. And she loved it.

Whenever I get sick of my plain PB&J, I love mixing it up with a peanut butter banana sandwich. Not only is it super easy to make, but I would refuel with this post work-out since it's included of protein from the peanut butter and Potassium from the banana.

Peanut Butter Banana Sandwich

Makes 1 sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of toast

  • 1-2 T of peanut butter

  • 1 large banana, sliced

Directions:

  1. If desired, toast the slices of bread.

  2. Peel banana and cut into thin slices. Don’t worry; there will be more than enough for the sandwich. Think of it as an extra treat or snack.

  3. Spread peanut butter onto toast. I like spreading it on both sides because I love my banana sandwiched between peanut butter.

  4. Enjoy!
