Ciao Bella
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to enter a giveaway for a free manicure from Bellacures courtesy of Refinery29. Bellacures was holding the grand opening of their newest location in Pasadena and Refinery29 offered 20 lucky L.A. readers to receive a voucher for a free sea salt manicure. I've never entered for any giveaways on Refinery29 so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the next morning I got an email from them asking where to mail my voucher! I couldn't wait for it to come because I was long overdue for a manicure. When the voucher finally came I instantly made an appointment at their Santa Monica location.
Earlier in the week I had seen The Beauty Department's Robin's Eggs Nails and I knew that was exactly what I wanted. I opted for the classic Manicure ($20) with Essie's Mint Candy Apple as the base coat. Unfortunately, they didn't have Deborah Lippmann's Boom Boom Pow, so I substituted with China Glaze's Treasure Chest. Personally, I thought Boom Boom Pow looked really cool because it featured varied sizes of glitter in the polish. Overall, I think the egg effect was achieved because my friend said they reminded her of Easter eggs.
My Bellacures nails vs. The Beauty Department's nails
After a long day at work, relaxing with a manicure from Bellacures really put me at ease. I loved sinking into their large plush couches without a care or worry in the world. Since I only used $20 out of my $40 voucher, I will be stopping by Bellacures again. They have a good variety of polishes including Essie, OPI, China Glaze, etc. in all the latest colors and good customer service. Only one question remains now: manicure or pedicure next time?
