I Heart Hollywood
Los Angeles, home of Hollywood. Where people come from all over the States with the same ambition - to make it big in the city of angels. I'm fortunate that I was born and raised in SoCal and am proud to call it home. New York may be the city that never sleeps, but I think Los Angeles is the city that is never bored. There is always something to do, whether it's stopping by the local farmer's market for the freshest produce, shopping at a designer's sample sale and snagging the piece you've been eyeing forever, trying a new restaurant after all the rave reviews you read about on Yelp, or getting your fitness on at the beach, mountains, lawn, or the good ol' gym.
One of my personal favorite things to do in Los Angeles is the hike to the Hollywood sign because you end up behind the sign! It may seem a bit touristy, but I don't think you can live in Los Angeles and not experience this hike at least once. The first time I went on this hike was actually when I rushed a service fraternity at USC. I wasn't much of a hiker back then, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I went with an open mind and ended up loving it! That's why when my sister visited this weekend, I made her do it with me. It was her first time at the Hollywood Hike and she loved it too. For those photogs or Instagram lovers, you can capture some of the most beautiful views of Los Angeles on a clear sunny day.
If you have some free time this summer, I would highly recommend going on the Hollywood hike. There isn't a formal site, but I found all the information I needed here. If you plan on going this summer, I would suggest bringing water, loading up on the SPF, and starting in the mornings before it gets too hot!
